Fay Gershgorin, Registered Occupational Therapist - Clinical Director

Fay Gershgorin, OT Reg. (Ont.) is the founder of New Therapy Solutions. She is a registered Occupational Therapist with the College of Occupational Therapists of Ontario (COTO), and the National Association of Occupational Therapy (NBCOT); qualified to practice in Ontario and USA. Fay is a member of The Canadian Association of Occupational Therapists (CAOT). She has attained her Master of Science in Occupational Therapy at Barry University in Miami, Florida and a Master’s of Business Administration from Nova Southeastern University.

Fay offers Mental Health Consulting to her Occupational Therapy work. She applies Psychotherapy services utilizing an array of therapeutic techniques including: Interpersonal Psychotherapy, Cognitive Behavioral Therapy, Solutions Focused Brief Therapy, Mindfulness, and Motivational Interviewing. Therapy is always client-centered goal oriented meeting the needs of each individual client. Clients include: Children of all ages, and Families.

Fay has helped many of her clients with struggles related to: adjusting to new life roles and responsibilities, returning to work, maintaining work-life balance, and managing life stress.

Fay has worked within the clinical setting, gaining experience in orthopedic, neurology, and mental health via administering assessments and treatments accordingly. Further, she gained experience assessing and treating individuals who have sustained functional deficits of both catastrophic and non-catastrophic nature from MVA-related traumatic brain injury, personal injury cases, Orthopedic and/or Psychosocial injuries; to address their day-to-day needs and facilitate functional improvement through client-centered Occupational Therapy, community based rehabilitation and advocacy.

Fay provides consultations from small businesses to large organizations; addressing workplace mental health & wellness programs to support employees’ well-being, improve performance, productivity, boost morale, & reduce absenteeism. I strive to help my clients with struggles in adjusting to new life roles and responsibilities, returning to work, maintaining a work-life balance, and managing life stress.

Fay is passionate about assisting clients with reaching their potential to live meaningful lives, and has always enjoyed working with individuals of various ages & abilities. She enjoys working in the community setting and always strives to help others achieve their goals for functional independence.

 

Belinda Wong, Registered Occupational Therapist

Belinda is a registered Occupational Therapist with the College of Occupational Therapists of Ontario (COTO) and is a member of the Canadian Association of Occupational Therapists (CAOT). She is passionate about working with children of all abilities to promote learning and skill building.

Belinda earned her Bachelor of Arts degree in Early Childhood Education with honours from Ryerson University and her Masters of Science degree in Occupational Therapy from Queen’s University.

Belinda has diverse experience working with children (0-18 years) in the school-based setting and the community setting providing assessment, consultation, and intervention. She has assisted clients withfine and gross motor skills, sensory processing, self-regulation, and building life skills. Belinda strives to empower children and families to reach their greatest potential through a client-centred and holistic approach.
